Good Shepherd Center

Located in the Wallingford neighborhood of Seattle, the grounds of the Good Shepherd Center contain about 500 different plant species, all managed organically. The Center was built in 1906 and now serves as a multi-purpose community center. The building, which is on the national register of historic places, is home to a host of non-profit organizations, including the Washington Toxics Coalition. The 11-acre grounds serve as an important demonstration of the value of healthy soil and plant diversity in maintaining a beautiful and healthy pesticide-free landscape.
